Ahhh, training a puppy. One of the hardest but most rewarding parts of being a dog parent.
When beginning to train your dog, it's hard to know where to look. Some of what I thought was "good" when training my puppy years and years ago, ended up being not so great. That is why our goal is to provide you helpful resources when training a dog of any age! Like our new course, .
This course uses positive reinforcement training, to help Lindsey (a first-time dog mom) train new new puppy Winnie! They'll be doing weekly dog training sessions with Traci Madson, a professional dog trainer!

MEET LINDSEY AND HER PUP WINNIE
Lindsey is a first-time dog mom, with her new puppy Winnie! So naturally, she has a lot of questions, concerns, and challenges with her new dog.
Lindsey has a husband and 3 teenage children, all of whom will be helping with Winnie's training and upbringing. She is a certified fitness coach and is always posting fantastic workout content on her Instagram!

Teaching your dog to greet people politely from the get-go will help so much as your dog gets older and in many cases BIGGER! For more tips on
Teaching your dog to sit, is one of the first things we like to teach our dogs. Use the lure, clicker, treats, and positive reinforcement!
You can use this as a replacement behavior to biting, barking, and even use it as a sometimes because it gives the dog a "job" to come and touch your hand.
This will teach your dog to focus on you, and also that no matter what distractions are in their environment, if they focus on you it pays off! Also, if they look at you and checks in on their own, then reward them for that! You can also use praise and affection if you don't have treats handy.
