In our private Facebook community, we asked, “what is the worst dog training advice you’ve ever heard?”.
And let me tell you… some of the answers were unbelievable! (Some were terribly frustrating to hear as well.)
We heard some advice that ranged from inhumane to just plain weird and just about everything in between.
Unfortunately, there is SO much misinformation out there about how to properly train your dog. It’s sad, but we hope that our blog resources, podcast, and of course, 30 Day Perfect Pup class can help spread positive, science-backed information in the world!
In case you haven’t already, please download the Pupford App! It’s the best way to access quality, science-backed, helpful dog training videos and advice.

Our main goal with this episode (and with everything we do at Pupford) is to help spread truthful, science-backed information in the dog world. With all the misinformation out there, we all have a duty to share positive resources and help get the word out!
As was mentioned in this episode, bad (and mean) training methods have been in use for over 100 years… So it will take everyone’s efforts to help dispel those pain and fear-related methods and teach positive, science-backed methods instead!
