WHAT IS THE MUFFIN TIN GAME?
The Muffin Tin Game is an enrichment activity for dogs where they sniff out treats that are hidden under tennis balls in a muffin tin. The game forces them to paw at, pick up, or use their nose to move the balls to access the treats.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO PLAY THE MUFFIN TIN GAME
Most of what you need to play this brain game can be found in your house already! Here is what you'll need to play this game:
- One muffin tin
- One tennis ball per muffin tin hole
- Treats your dog will work for (looking for some? Check these out)
That's it! This game is super easy to set up.

HOW TO PLAY THE MUFFIN TIN GAME FOR DOGS
Just like the required items, how to play this brain game is very easy. Here's how to play the muffin tin game with your dog:
- Get a muffin tin
- Fill most of the holes (not all) with 3-5 treats
- Cover every hole with a tennis ball
- Let your dog sniff out the treats and use their brain to figure out how to remove the balls to access the treats!
That is it, easy!
NOTE: If your dog tries to pick up the tin, just hold it down!

Leave a CommentSounds like fun, but pretty sure my standard Poodle puppy will just dump the whole tray. That’s how he rolls. ???
Great idea
Socks can be a choking/ obstruction hazard.. Bad to train your pup to play w/ socks (could result in ER vet visit). Instead use small Kong balls or rubber emoji squeaker balls.
Need to find smaller balls!!! Could use mini tins—just need smaller balls—like the balls for jacks!! My dogs are 5-10 lbs!!!
This is an excellent brain game for some dogs. My Great Danes and Irish Wolfhounds? They pick up the muffin tin and turn it upside down (so the balls and treats fall out) and then have a party. But guess it’s a brain game for them as well–the had to figure out to turn it over.
