Messy and Splinters

I loved the idea of these for my Giant and have 2 of the Extra Large Coffee Wood Chews, unfortunately the first time she used the 1st one, I could see that the wood was splintering and leaving a mess. Thinking it may just have been a defective Chew, I gave her the 2nd one with the same results. The splintering is really rough and I rubbed my finger and you got it... got a splinter in my finger.
