Let's get to the recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 apples (any kind), with seeds, core, and stem removed
  • 2 full-size carrots or about 2 cups of baby carrots
  • About 1 cup of water
  • Ice cube trays

Directions

  1. Cut 2 apples (any kind) and remove seeds, core, and stem. Leave the skin on.
  2. Cut 2 full-size carrots into 3-4 inch pieces, or use about 2 cups of baby carrots.
  3. Put ingredients in a blender or food processor.
  4. Add 1 cup of water and puree.
  5. Pour into ice cube trays (don't use actual popsicle sticks, they can be dangerous for dogs) and freeze.
  6. Serve on hot days to help keep your dog cool (or any day you wanna give them a tasty frozen treat!).

I’ll be trying this for my pups! It’s getting quite hot where we are so this is perfect to keep them cool!

Hi! Depends on the size of your dog, but I would just give your dog a little bit a day! You only want your dog’s treats to make up around 10-15% of their calories per day.
